Meet Tasca's Owner

Dan McMyler graduated from the Hotel School in Galway , Ireland in 1983 with a B.A. Degree in Hotel & Catering Management . His first sojourn was in London where he worked in numerous hotels.

Eager to gain European experience in the food and beverage sphere he moved to Frankfurt , Germany where he worked and studied before continuing his travels that later brought him further into the heart of Europe and ended up in the Alpine town of Montreux Switzerland.

Four years would then be spent at sea aboard the Royal Viking Star and Royal Princess luxury cruise vessels. Yearning once again to settle, Bermuda was the place of choice, until he came to Boston in 1990 where he decided to adopt a more permanent home. After three years of working in the restaurant business in Boston he began putting the Tasca concept together and indeed opened in May of 1995.
